NOTD: Chanel Mimosa

Mimosa needs 2 coats to be fully opaque and has a pearlescent finish. It's a bit brighter on the nail than in the bottle.

This limited edition shade is not my color. The lime-green undertones do not compliment my skin tone very well. It looks better in pictures, but IRL it's not the best yellow for me. It would definitely go better with pale skin tones.

It's too bad this color doesn't work for me, I was coveting it so bad!

NOTD: Chanel Eastern Light

Leave it to Chanel to make me want all of their Limited Edition polishes! This one is part of the Hong Kong De Chanel Collection. This color is supposed to be a "bold shade of opaque white".

Eastern Lights is a bright white polish {with a bit of a grey undertone} that needs at least 3 coats to be streak-free, it has a vague jelly-like consistence.

This color reminds me a lot of Essie's Marshmallow {seen here}, but Marshmallow is less opaque and takes 4+ coats and a lengthy drying time to look like this.

There is another color in this collection called Western Light, it is a "deep chocolate, burnished with a heart of pearly red" if you're interested.

 I think i'll stick to this one, I love my white polishes!

OOTD: Instagram Recap

This week was a bit hectic! I had some papers due, a couple of interviews to go to, and I'm not done yet... more midterms to come this week and next!

Date night outfit!

I don't know why I decided it would be a great idea to schedule 2 interviews back to back after school last Tuesday! I guess I wasn't thinking. Luckily things went my way and I was early to both, as well as was given the opportunity to intern at both places {I think it was my amazing interview skills that got me both opportunites, but I did catch them eyeballing my business outfit! lol}. Since I can only choose one internship position I decided to go with the one where I can experience first-hand public health with respect to oral hygiene and help out my community at the same time!

I'm pretty excited to start this endeavor, especially since I think I can start wearing all my business casual clothes again {hopefully I don't get stuck wearing scrubs all day}! I miss the days where I worked as a receptionist and had a reason to buy heels and button down shirts {not that that has deterred me from completely letting go of my shopaholic nature. ha!}, but it's also nice to know that I'm almost done with my B.S.!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

NOTD: Coach Poppy Nail Polish Set

I recently recieved this from a friend and was surprised to know that Coach released a nail polish set!!! {scroll down for a comment on the brush quality}

The colors are called: (left to right) Ballet Pink, Purple, Mink Grey.

The bottles are gorgeous!
The gold tops are embossed with the signature Coach Poppy print.

Ballet Pink is an opaque pale pink color. It's pretty streaky and needs at least 3 coats to get rid of most of the unevenness. {An alternative would be Butter London's Teddy Girl seen here.}

 Purple is a jelly-like polish that reminds me of Essie's Bahama Mama {see this post}. It needs 3 coats for opacity.

 Mink Grey is a true grayish-purple polish. It is fully opaque with 2 coats.

The only thing that I did't like was the quality of the brushes, 2 out of 3 of the brushes were bent and flared, making application uneven and difficult. The bottles are gorgeous though, and will look great displayed on my vanity!

NOTD: YSL #22 Beige Leger

Beige Leger is a pinkish nude with a slight mauve undertone. It's an odd color to describe since its seems to change under different lighting on my nails.

It takes 2 coats for full opacity and has the most glossy even finish! I think that this color could easily suit all skin types!

I definitely recommend this one! It might just be your perfect nude color!

BOTD: F21 Striped Blouse vs. Equipment Striped Sophie Blouse

{Bargain Of The Day}
The other day I decided to try my luck in F21 and stumbled across a blouse that has an unbelievable resemblance to an Equipment blouse which I so desperately wanted... but the sticker shock made me think twice!

Forever 21 Sheer Striped Top
item #2000044096 $19.80.
Equipment Striped Sophie Blouse
$198.

From the rounded peter-pan style collar, to the arrangement of the striped it's almost an identical match!
Of course the color of the F21 shirt is white and it has a straight hem, while the Equipment blouse is beige and has a rounded longer hem.

 Other than that, what a bargain dupe!!!

What do you think, are you going snatch this bargain up before it sells out???

Forever 21: Sheer striped Top #2000044096 $19.80 | Equipmen-t Striped Sophie Blouse $189.
