UK Online Lush Order {Haul}

After buying my first batch of Lush products I realized as most 'lushies' already know, that the
Lush UK site has better prices for most items even when compared to shopping in an actual store
here is North America. So I decided to give it a try- and here is my final verdict: AWESOME, and I may or may not have already placed another order :D

I placed my 5 item {+ samples} order on Aug. 3, 2012 at 1:14 am and got a confirmation email almost immediately saying that my order was being prepared for shipping. By 4:25 am that same day I got another email telling me that my order had shipped! Amazing, I know! Unfortunately there is no
tracking information provided except for an order number which can't be tracked on their website {this made me super anxious}... But I received my order on Aug 8, 2012 at around noon, a mere 5 days later- including the weekend and I live on the west coast!!!

Sunnyside bubble bar- "glittery bubbles... lemon, tangerine and sweet orange" It smells sweet and orange-y and is both, packed full of glitter and rolled in it too!
The Comforter bubble bar- "blissful blackcurrant bathing" It smells of sweet blackcurrant, which to me is a mixture of blackberries and licorice {I don't like licorice, but this smells good!} This is supposed to be a "must try" for Lush enthusiasts.
Karma bubble bar- "patchouli, lemongrass and orange" I smelly soapyness and lemongrass. Lush has a few different products with the same scent including perfume, soap, and a bath melt.
Yuzu and Cocoa bubbleroon- {again} "exotic and tropical on the nose" It is supposed to smell like chocolate and orange, and I can't explain the scent at all... so I'll stick with exotic and tropical for sure. I love this one! It is so moisturizing, amazingly smelly, and long-lasting!

Fairy Jasmine bath bomb- "soft, powdery jasmine fragrance" This smells exactly like the description. It is filled with amazing iridescent glitter!!! This one is only available for purchase online {both US &UK}. It's huge!

Twilight bath bomb- "lavender and tonka bean" I bought this one in store because I was afraid it would break in the mail. It smells like sweet candy, yum!

Sexy Peel soap- "a citrus soap to get your morning going" I bought this is store too because I wanted a small piece. I cut mine into cubes so as not to have it all melt in the shower {they do melt rather easily}. It smells just like a bag full of lemons and oranges, leaves you squeaky clean too.

These are the samples I received with my order:
L to R: Fresh Farmacy cleanser, Retread conditioner, Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner, Sultana Soap.

My sample didn't come with any dried fruits :(

My concerns when placing this order:
  1.  Youtubers say that they received broken items- My only bath bomb was sealed and a bit powdery but whole. The 2 bubble bars were unwrapped but in solid condition since they are quite sturdy.
  2. The heat and my bubbleroon!- Perfectly shaped with no melting whatsoever :)
  3. Glitter everywhere- Sunny Side's glitter was sealed to preserve all of its glittery glory!
  4. No samples- sometimes if your order is on the verge of being bumped up into a larger box {and thus a higher postage cost} they will not include samples, luckily I seemed to be fine weighing under 1kg {2.2 lbs}. I got 3 requested samples plus an extra!!!
Some last bits of information:
My total was 21.12 GBP, or $33.92 compared to over $40 in store {even pricier online}. I did notice that on both orders I placed on the Lush UK site the final cost of each item is reduced from the prices seen online {I'm not sure why, or how} I added up the total for the actual prices and it comes out to be 24.15 GBP, or about $38, which is not what I paid. But that is what makes buying from the UK site amazing!

I hope you enjoyed and found this helpful! If you have any questions please comment below :)

Lush Review: Rose Jam + Butterball

I tried out a new technique thinking this was going to give me tons of bubbles, but it didn't and I ended up pretty disappointed. {But I will keep experimenting and finding ways to create immense amounts of bubbles!}
I thought that Rose Jam was going to be more fragrant both in the water and on my skin, but it lacked any sort of residual smell :( It definitely did smell of roses, but compared to Yuzu and Cocoa, it is not as pungent smelling. Overall I do love the pink water and the way that it smells, I just wish it would be more smelly. One last thing- the bubbles lasted like 5 minutes before being completely gone :'( {this could be because I'm still experimenting with bubble-making}

Butterball was just as described by lush- extremely buttery and moisturizing... so moisturizing that it left a film of butter/oil all over my bathtub and on my skin. It didn't change the scent of the bath, but it did let out these weird chunks of brown butter?? Overall this wouldn't be my first choice bath bomb; it's a bit too heavy on the butter for my liking.

These are the products I used- Rose Jam bubbleroon {pink} and Butterball bath bomb {white}.

Here is butterball in all of its buttery glory, you can see the little brown butter bits floating around everywhere I did notice that they dissolved after a while, so don't be alarmed if you see them too.

Method: I put half of the bubble bar into a stocking {$2 sheer one from Walmart} and tied it so that it was directly under the running water. I left it there until it all dissolved. But this resulted in less bubbles than I had anticipated. Next I will try to use the shower head directly on the bubble bar and see if the power from that results in more bubbles. {I will keep you updated}

Not enough bubbles.

No more bubbles after 5 min :( But this is a gorgeous pink color!!!

What are your tips for getting more bubbles???

Lush Review: Dragon's Egg + Yuzu and Cocoa

I couldn't wait any longer, the smells were so inviting, so I took a bath with Dragon's Egg and half of Yuzu and Cocoa!

The second you drop in the bath bomb it starts fizzing and spinning all over the place! I read somewhere that Dragon's Egg should not be split apart since it has various layers that change your
 water as they dissolve, and this is so true.

I didn't hear any popping- just fizzing, but it was pretty amazing!

It is hard to notice the gold glitter, but with the right light I could definitely catch a slight sheen
to my water. This glitter did leave residue all over my bathtub, but it was easily cleaned off and not a problem.

Take a look at the great color being let off by Dragon's Egg. The hotter the water, the better everything dissolves :)
This is the final product with just Dragon's Egg in the bath. It is definitely a great orange color and quite frothy!
I added half of Yuzu and Cocoa to the bath by crumbling over the running water.  But this is
apparently not the best way to get both- many more bubbles and your money's worth from each bubble bar. Next time I will use less of the bar and put it in an old pantyhose directly over the running
water, this way the whole bubble bar gets hit by the water and none of the chunks drop to the bottom of the tub. This is said to create insane amounts of bubbles! Can't wait to see!
So the bubbles lasted for about 10 minutes. They were completely gone after that :( but the bath water was amazingly moisturizing and smelled heavenly!!! And my skin smelled just like Yuzu and Cocoa until the next day! {I didn't notice any glitter on me... that would have been fun!}

Lush Haul!!!

I went a little crazy. I bought too many things at Lush, but I am so excited! :D

Rose Jam: "rosy fragrance paired with coconut oil icing"
This is one of the most amazing rose scented things I have ever smelled! {I wrapped it in a

plastic bag and stored it on the bottom shelf of my bookshelf and it made my whole  room smell!}

Yuzu and Cocoa: "delectable orange chocolate fragrance, with exotic tropical
 undertones and an uplifting grapefruit top note" I want to eat this! The chocolate

 smell is not prominent, but gives the overall smell some depth {if that makes any sense}
This one also has the most amazing sent! I can't wait to use it!!!

Dragon's Egg: "sherbet-y citrus scent of lemon and bergamot" This one has it all, colors,
smells, and glitter! I cannot wait to drop this one in my bath so I hear and see it fizzle!

Butterball: this "little fizzer is the ultimate in comfort with chunks of creamy
cocoa butter; it’s fantastic for rehydrating dry skin." This bath bomb will be
perfect for soaking after beach days. It smells buttery and softly of vanilla. Yum!

Dirty Soap: "shockingly fresh herbal and spearminty fragrance... Men love this fragrance"
I picked up this sample size for the bf, it is definitely a manly smelling soap and quite
pungent... but in a really good way! He used it and said it made the whole bathroom + his
skin smells amazing so I guess it's a keeper :)

Jumping Juniper: "cleans away grease and balances sebum production for soft, shiny
(in the good way) hair." What a weird but awesome concept, the girl who was helping
me says this lasts her about 3 months {roughly ~80 uses}!!!

I Love Juicy: "Fresh fruit juices of pineapple, mango and kiwi are slightly acidic
and help to mop up excess sebum" I got this shampoo because my hair gets oily roots
after 24 hrs :( and washing it everyday is starting to dry out my ends the ombré effect
didn't help either. I hope this works, but if it doesn't it still smells amazing.

Veganese Conditioner: " agar seaweed gel as a natural hair softener instead of lanolin, and blend in generous helpings of lemon oil to create the perfect vegan conditioner" The super helpful girl at Lush gave me this sample and said it was really light and would suit my hair type. We shall see what
 marvelous things a vegan conditioner has to offer. :)

I will be posting reviews of all the products soon {I wish I could use them all now!!!}
But let me know if you want specifics on any product mentioned :)

Do you have any favorite Lush products?! I'd love to know!
