Shopping: H&M, eBay & More + Coupons

For a 20% off one item at H&M click HEREAnn Taylor Factory & Loft stores are having Labor day sales too: Coupons HERE & HERE {if you subscribed for their emails, check your inbox}

I did some more bargain shopping! Warning: tons of pictures!

1. I was wondering when H&M would bring this adorable embellished collar to the states! Too bad they only carry it in black and coral, I would have loved to see it in white too. The t-shirt isn't fitted, but does have seams at the bust that give you a feminine shape. I loooove the pearls and silver spheres sewn into the collar!

2. I scored this super sparkly Liz Claiborne top from eBay for $13.74 {including shipping} It's really soft as it's composed of silk, angora wool, and cashmere and is covered front to back in iridescent sequins {individually sewn in}!

3. Marshalls has been my go-to shopping destination when I need something quick, this time I was browsing around in the junior's section and found this Chanel-inspired sweater {it's supposed to look like a tweed jacket}. It's quite thin and light, but for $16 I didn't expect it to be much more than that. It has 2 front pockets, cute enamel and gold buttons, gold thread throughout, and black trim; it'll be perfect for Fall and Winter!

4. I picked up this Origins Super Spot Remover for acne at Macys for $14.50 after EssieButton
 {Watch her youtube videos, they're hilarious!!!} mentioned HERE, how effective it is at diminishing pimples {I loathe that word}. It obviously doesn't work magic but it does shorten the time drastically! Overall, a good investment for those sudden spots that make me feel like I'm back in grade school.

5. After all the hype I've heard about Morroccan oil which, to my understanding {correct me if I'm wrong} is actually Argan Oil, I decided to give Pura D'Or Argan Oil a try since it is one of the few I've found to be 100%  organic Argan oil. I plan on using it for the ends of my hair since they are the most dry & damaged due to my trendy ombré effect lol.

 6. I needed a new toner bad, and my skin has been feeling extra rough this summer so I decided to give this a try and see if it helps. I bought it from Gilt and got this Facial Spray as a gift with purchase. This makes me think of the Caudalie beauty elixir {haven't tried it...yet}. This stuff seriously smells amazing, it's like misting your face with crushed up rose petals... so heavenly!

If you want any additional info on anything mentioned leave me a comment below :) Also, I will do reviews on the beauty products as soon as I get a good idea of how each one works.

Thanks for reading & have a great Labor Day weekend... Let me know if you'll take advantage of sales too!

NOTD: Burberry Manicure

I've been meaning to do this manicure ever since I saw THIS awesome video tutorial on youtube by . It's easier than I thought it was going to be!

I would describe how to do this manicure myself, but  did such a great job in her video. Why deny you the opportunity to see and try it out for yourself?! :)

On a different note, I am officially going to see my favorite band of all time next week! I can't wait to share pictures of The Adicts playing live with you guys! :) {I know what you're thinking...punk rock concert after buying Ann Taylor clothes?! But, you'd be surprised at how fun and catchy most of their lyrics are!} I am a little nervous though, I have no idea what to wear and I just know I will be out of my element, hopefully in a good way. It has been so long since I delved into the world of old school punk rock. Eeek!

Fashion: Ann Taylor Online Order

I finally got my Ann Taylor order from their online Sale {50% off all sale items, unfortunately no longer going on} I must say that for the quality and sheer chic-ness that is Ann Taylor, it was another steal! {see my Julep post for the first steal.}

1. Both are the same size. It seems they can stretch out quite a bit so I suggest going down a size. The arms are 3/4 style and are a bit loose {I will see if they can get taken in}.
The knitted texture is great for those Fall and Winter days that aren't cold, but aren't hot either.

2. {no longer available} I over-estimated my size as usual, luckily the fit is supposed to be somewhat over-sized. If it's ever back in stock go for your regular size or even one size down.
This is a nice loose fitting sweater, great for fall and winter worn with legging and boots.

3. Unless you're under 5' don't order Petite sizing for this one. It's almost too short on me and I'm only 5'1! It's great quality, has a scoop neck front, 2 gold buttons above the keyhole in the back, and the best part is that it is not sheer at all!
Great worn with colored jeans or pants {pink ones would be amazing!}

4. This is so cute! The arm holes are huge and it's a knitted texture so it's meant to be worn with a cami. It's longer in the back and has a modest neckline that lays on your collar bone.
It looks awesome with white shorts or pants and wedges.

5. These are my favorite {I got both pink & blue!} They have a small collar, hidden buttons down the front, a slightly longer back hem, and adorable ruching on the back seam.
These can be worn with white pants or shorts for both spring, summer, even fall and winter for a pop of color {with cardigans and coats... if it ever gets cold here.}

6. I've drooled over this long-sleeve hot pink blouse for months! And now that it was 50% off it was the perfect time to buy. I couldn't score this in a Petite so the hem is a bit too long {nothing that a tailor can't handle}. It has amazing details on the shoulders, sleeves, and down the front, and 2 pockets with metal buttons that combine to give it a military-esque style.
This is great worn with black skinnies or tucked into a pencil skirt for a more feminine look.

NOTE:
1. I am a petite {not skinny} girl. As such, I shop for body-conscious clothes that make ME feel good :)

2. I love sharing my great finds with you all, I never want to make you feel like I am showing off my purchases or bragging. All I want is for fashion-obessed girl like myself to know and take advantage of great deals on great things.
Thanks :)

NOTD: Halo Effect

I must admit, I had a hard time working out the kinks in this manicure! But, I think I finally got it down What do you think: Is halo in or out?

To achieve this manicure, first I painted my nails gold. Then I painted my nails turquoise leaving the sides and cuticles exposed. Finally I repainted the tips gold.

Note: the outdoor lighting made the turquoise color come out a bit darker than usuual check out this post for the accurate color :)

Julep Maven Intro Box Review: Eva & Sienna

I recently discovered a nail polish subscription site called Julep Maven. For $19.99 a month you get a box containing at least 2 nail polishes and a beauty product that is chosen for you based on a quiz you take to determine your style. The retail price of each box is said be be $40 {each polish retails at $14}.

Polish colors: Sienna, Eva.
If you don't like what's in your box, you have the option of skipping the month or requesting a different box prior to being charged for that month's box {each of the 5 style profiles has their own unique colors}. I was assigned the Classic With a Twist box, but I requested the Bombshell box instead because I liked those colors better :)

Finally, I used the coupon code "color2012" {I believe the code "penny" might also work the same} and got my first box for $0.01- a penny!

Click my link if you'd like to check it out and join: HTTP://JULEP.COM/?R=23545184

Here is a review and swatches of the box I picked:

Sienna- "Juicy raspberry crème"

Eva- "Sophisticated, shimmery gold"
 Both nail polished are opaque after 2 coats which is good since the more layers you add the higher the risk for peeling and chipping. Julep varnishes contain 8 ml of product compared to 15 ml in OPI and
14 ml in China Glaze bottles. I'm glad I don't need to use a third coat as this would greatly dimish the amount of manicures you would get from one bottle.

The gold polish did have minor streaking and could have used a third coat, but if you're careful applying the polish 2 coats will be fine.

So far, it seems like a pretty good deal for the quality of polish you get {and for a penny this intro box was a steal!}

NOTD: China Glaze Golden Meringue

Today's polish is extremely sheer. In the bottle it reminds me of China Glaze Sunset Sail
{reviewed here}, but on the nails it is a sheer peachy nude color with a prominent gold sheen.

 After applying 4 coats I could still see my nail line, so I added an emerald green color and made it a french tip.

It would be really pretty with a white tip too.

This is what it looks like over a white base. In my opinion, it looks better on its own.

NOTD: Inverted French Tip

I love this color combination, but I must admit- this manicure turned out kind of weird lol...

I love this pastel pink color, it is opaque after 2 coats, and the silver only takes one!

In other random news... I tweeted {follow me @roxypie89} about this amazing 50% off clearance sale that Ann Taylor had and I can't wait to share all the goodies I ordered with you guys!

Lush UK Online Order #2 + Storage

My second order arrived in 4 days! This time it was a bit tragic- some of my items didn't make it in one piece {don't order all bath bombs, they will bump into each other in the box and break}. Tip: request that each item be wrapped in both clear wrap and newspaper to diminish breakage.

I did contact customer service via e-mail about broken items and they resent 2 bath bombs at no charge that I was planning on giving away {I figured the bubble bar was going to be crumbled anyway}. It has been a week and I have yet to received my replacements. Other than that their customer service is extremely nice and accommodating!!! I will definitely order online again :)

Dorothy bubble bar- This has that ylang ylang smell, but it doesn't really smell like anything... just soapy. I can't wait to see the blue water it creates! Yes, it was smashed when I took it out of the box, but I figure, I'm gonna crumble it anyway.
Youki Hi bath bomb- "A seriously sexy jasmine bomb for romantic bath times"It has glitter and pop-rocks {most of those fell of during shipping} I don't like the smell of this one, it's so strong that it's the only thing I smell when I open the storage box I keep all of them in. Jasmine overload? Definitely. I'm hoping the smell will dilute in the bathtub. **This one is no longer available on the UK site.
Space Girl bath bomb- "bright sparkly fragrance, coupled with a deep space colour and a sprinkling of glitter" If you ask me, this one smells more like blackberries {artificial} than the blackberry one below. It's slightly sweet, and powdered with glitter!
Blackberry bath bomb- "bergamot and frankincense " This definitely does not smell like blackberries,
it isn't strong or sweet. If I knew what bergamot and frankincense smelled like maybe I'd be able to say
 it smelled like that... Until then, it has a pleasant non-sugary smell.

Rocketeer bath bomb- "water change from blue to yellow to green as the yellow flames push the rocket around the tub" This one doesn't have a distinct smell, I can only pick up a mild citrusy undertone. I can't wait to see all the colors!
Sex Bomb bath bomb- " Clary sage, jasmine and ylang ylang" I thought this one was going to smell more like roses since it has one stuck in it, but it doesn't. It smells faintly of jasmine and flowers.

Think Pink bath bomb- "combination of tonka and vanilla absolutes" This smells just how it looks, sweet but not overpowering... If the color pink had a smell I'm thinking this would be it. All the flowers fell off {I placed them back for pictures} and chunks of it became power during shipping, but it still looks nice.  FYI: This is the smallest bath bomb ever.

Twilight bath bomb- Review here. It broke, just what I was afraid of :( This might be my second favorite bath bomb {after Dragon's Egg!} It smells sweet like candy.

Dragon's Egg bath bomb- Review here. My favorite! It has a nice citrusy clean scent, reminds me of Cocoa Pebbles... and the smell get's better in the tub. This one was absolutely pulverized, but at least you can see the confetti it has. :(

Samples:
Karma Kream body lotion- This smells just like the bubble bar... It's not my favorite fragrance.

Woosh Shower Jelly- This smells just like citrusy lemons!

This is how I organize my lush bath products, it helps with the smells mixing {a little}:

Hope you found this helpful :)
